Why Guided Journaling and Why 5 Questions?

You may have found this site through our social media and, if that’s the case, you might have seen Gemma, our founder, talk about about the benefits of journaling.
If you haven't, or want to watch again, head to my Instagram by clicking here.
If you’re new to journaling and new to the whole concept of verbalising your innermost thoughts and feelings, this is the programme for you.
The focusonmy.life ('FOML') premise is based around the idea that a guided journaling method is a great way to encourage you to get started with journaling.
Answering a few specific questions over a period of time allows you to look inward without really thinking about it.
If you want to get the maximum benefit out of FOML journaling, there will be some data analysis needed by you to enable you to create positive action points. We've made that easy by presenting your weekly reports in a way that allows for a quick read through ready for your analysis. Click here for more info on that.
We have designed FOML journaling to be quick and, unless you want to delve into more in-depth journal writing, it should take less than 3 minutes to answer all of the questions and move on with your day. Of course, if you feel that you want to delve deeper then do just that!
We truly believe everyone has a place in this universe to do something spectacular with their lives and be successful.
Success means different things to different people and so that might not necessarily be in their career, it may be the voluntary work they do or the way they are able to listen to others. Every person is just as special as the next and has their own individual talents.
That's why FOML was created. To help everyone identify the spectacular within themselves no matter what age or where you are in life.
We're not all born with the innate ability to know exactly what to do with our lives. The problem is that we don't always have the opportunity, or inclination, to determine what that could be and so we become lost and confused in the noise and distractions around us. Or, we don't have the confidence or knowledge to make what we want happen or maybe we just aren't able to pick up on those breadcrumbs that are laid out for us and connect the dots.
In our modern, fast paced, world we're often not mindful or conscious enough to notice the signs. Then, we get to a certain age and assume it's too late - it's not!
FOML is not the only way to become more self aware but it is one way to subconsciously identify your inner thoughts and dreams in a way that helps you to literally see what's there in front of you, guiding you towards your next path in life.
The best part is that its minimum effort for the potential of maximum gain.
All you need to do is answer five questions at the end of the day. You don’t need to do it religiously every day or on consecutive days even but, when you do, try to be authentic and truthful with yourself.
When you receive your weekly report email, make sure you take a few minutes to run through it. Create your own science experiment and identify the good and the bad, the emerging thoughts and patterns that identify what’s next for you, what you need to change, where your attention should be moving to. Pick up on these little bread crumbs of your life to create positive action for yourself. Read more about that here.
You can then continue FOML journaling to dive deeper and continue creating positive action for yourself week after week or come back to it when you feel you need more answers.
